Dental Implant Cost in Bangalore: A 2026 Price Guide

Dental implant placed in the lower jaw

A dental implant is usually the closest thing to getting a natural tooth back — but it is also one of the treatments patients are most unsure about paying for. Here is an honest look at what implants cost in Bangalore, and why two quotes for “one implant” can differ by ₹40,000.

What you are actually paying for

An implant is not a single object. A complete implant restoration has three parts, and a quote may or may not include all of them:

  • The implant fixture — the titanium screw placed into the jawbone, which acts as the artificial tooth root.
  • The abutment — the connector that sits on top of the fixture.
  • The crown — the visible tooth, made in zirconia, porcelain-fused-to-metal or e.max.

When you compare prices between clinics, the single most useful question you can ask is simply: “Does this include the crown?” A quote that covers only the fixture will always look cheaper.

Typical implant costs in Bangalore

Across Bangalore clinics in 2026, a single tooth implant generally falls in the range below. The biggest single variable is the implant system used.

TreatmentTypical Bangalore range
Single implant — Korean systems (Osstem, Dentium)₹15,000 – ₹30,000
Single implant — Swiss/European systems (Nobel Biocare, Straumann)₹35,000 – ₹60,000
Bone grafting (if required, per site)₹10,000 – ₹30,000
Full-mouth rehabilitation₹2,50,000 – ₹9,00,000+
Why the wide range? Premium systems cost more because they have decades of published survival data, wider compatibility for future repairs, and better documented outcomes in patients with lower bone density. That does not automatically make them the right choice for every case — it makes them the right choice for some.

What can change your final quote

1. Bone volume

When a tooth has been missing for a long time, the bone that used to support it gradually resorbs. If there is not enough bone to hold an implant securely, a graft or a sinus lift may be needed first. This is the most common reason a quote goes up after the scan.

2. Number of implants versus number of teeth

Replacing three adjacent missing teeth does not always require three implants. Two well-placed implants supporting a bridge is often stronger, cleaner to maintain and cheaper than three separate units.

3. Crown material

Zirconia crowns cost more than metal-ceramic but are more natural-looking and do not show a dark line at the gum over time — which matters much more for a front tooth than a molar.

4. Imaging and planning

A CBCT scan adds to the upfront cost but significantly reduces the risk of a placement problem. For anything other than a straightforward single molar, it is worth it.

Are implants worth it compared to a bridge?

A conventional bridge is cheaper upfront. The trade-off is that it requires trimming down the two healthy teeth on either side of the gap to act as supports — permanently. An implant stands alone and leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched.

Over a 10–15 year horizon, the implant frequently works out better value, because a failed bridge can take two additional teeth with it. If cost is the deciding factor today, that is a completely reasonable conversation to have with your dentist — but it should be made with the long-term picture in view.

How long does the process take?

  • Consultation and scan — day one.
  • Implant placement — a single appointment, usually 45–90 minutes under local anaesthesia.
  • Healing (osseointegration) — typically 3 to 6 months while the bone fuses to the implant.
  • Crown fitting — one to two appointments once healing is confirmed.

In selected cases with good bone, an immediate or “same-day” implant with a temporary crown is possible. Whether you are a candidate depends on your scan, not on preference.

Frequently asked questions

How long do dental implants last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants routinely last 15–25 years and often a lifetime. The crown on top may need replacement sooner than the implant itself.

Is getting a dental implant painful?

The placement is done under local anaesthesia, so the procedure itself is not painful. Mild soreness and swelling for two to three days afterwards is normal and is managed with standard pain relief.

Am I too old for a dental implant?

There is no upper age limit. What matters is bone quality, gum health and general medical fitness — not age alone.

Does diabetes prevent me from having implants?

Not necessarily. Well-controlled diabetes is generally not a barrier, though healing may be slower. Uncontrolled blood sugar is a genuine risk factor and should be stabilised first.
